Tour # RI-2 - CHRISTMAS IN NEWPORT
Founded in 1971, Christmas in Newport began as 2-week festival celebrating noncommercial traditions of the
holiday season. Now in its 43rd year, the annual program boasts multiple activities for nearly each day of the
December calendar.

Christmas at many of the Newport mansions are memorable.

NEWPORT
Only clear bulbs illuminate scenic harbor and wharves, restored colonials of the Point and Historic Hill sections,
and Victorian splendor of Bellevue Avenue to simulate candlelight of bygone days. With volunteer base numbering
1,500, event raises thousands of dollars for charity each year.

Three mansions dressed in their holiday finery will be visited, and the spirit of Christmas (and great food) will be
integrated into the tour.

Because this event is a whole month long, please select a date, then we will produce a wonderful itinerary for
you. Happy Holidays!
