................................................ Section #3 - BLOG NEWS UPDATES
RETIREMENT HOME FOR SARATOGA RACE TRACK WINNERS.
A new retirement farm for Saratoga Race Track winners is open for visiting these amazing athletes as.they live out their lives with their fellow winners in a grand country setting and enjoy the pampering they so richly deserve.
AMAZING BASILICAS
You do not have to travel to Europe to see Basilicas - there are dozens of them in the Northeast. Their
architecture is truly something to behold. Tours are available to visit as few or as many as you want.
12 YEARS A SLAVE
Based on the fact that SOLOMON NORTHUP was a local boy who lived, worked, played, and spent his years here in the Lake George-Glens Falls area, and also based on the movie starring Chiwetel Eliofor and Brad Pitt, this a fantastic tour of SOLOMON NORTHUP and several abolitionist partners, JOHN BROWN and ROLAND T. ROBINSON, also including the 10 Talking Quilts .... a tour that you will not soon forget.
MILITARY REUNIONS
Because America was formed here in the Northeast, battles were abundant as the King of England and the King of France both wanted this new land. Once the Colonists took over, struggles for a Union began in earnest and our tours reflect many aspects of the French and Indian War, American Revolution, discoveries like the first ship built by Ethan Allen found on the floor of Lake Champlain, stepping on a 1700's replica war ship and visit the military museum, Fort Ticonderoga and Fort William Henry, just for starters.
CULTURAL OFFERINGS
As America developed, so did its cultural offerings. The northeast is replete with artists, painters, poets, writers, and secrets - such as the original oil painting of Head of Christ by Rembrandt, housed in a most unusual home museum in Glens Falls, or the home of Harriet Beecher Stowe in Hartford CT who wrote Uncle Tom's Cabin, just for starters.

LAKE GEORGE NAVY REUNION
Many, many thanks for putting together our Reunion schedule. Everything was first class, and everyone had nothing but good to say. Our guide was great and well informed, friendly, and always helpful. Kept us on schedule. Our bus driver was also great and I would say one of the safest I have ever ridden with. The hotel went out of their way to set us up in our hospitality room which was used every day. The tour schedule, Mohican cruise, and meals were all great. Everyone was grateful and surprised for the Memorial Table set up for our departed at the last dinner. The candle was blown out before we left by a wife whose hus-band died 2 years ago but she decided to attend our reunion. It was touching, to say the least. All of my ship-mates have been expressing great satisfaction with the entire 4 days. I'm getting e-mails everyday.

Fabulous, fun trip!! Trip went along very smoothly. Much of that can be credited to our Tour Guide. She did an excellent job, was very informative, organized, efficient, and joked with passengers. The balloons and fireworks seen from the cruise were spec-tacular. She even took us on little hidden treasures of the area where a guide is worth her weight in gold. At the end of the trip many passengers hugged and even kissed her! She was a pleasure to work with. Outstanding trip!!!

1000 ISLANDS - KINGSTON - OTTAWA
Even in the blazing heat that week, the tour to Canada was outstanding. Starting with Alexandria Bay, the 2-nation islands cruise, Boldt Castle and Riveredge Resort were a wonderful start. In Canada the step-on guide was magnificent and surprised us all with her fascinating city of Kingston. Ottawa was as beautiful and clean as ever, and all the venues were out standing. The best was Chateau Montebello, an exquisite breathtaking hotel unlike any other. As usual, you put together a fun, informative, most unusual and memorable trip for our clients. Thank you.

ADIRONDACKS
I wanted to send a quick note to thank you for a great trip and especially enjoyed your guide who was organized, in control, shared great stories, and knew when to let the group rest their ears. The food was especially awesome. I am sure I gained 10 pounds. It is too bad the weather did not let the foliage show its stuff. It was very pretty as it was. Really cannot think of anything that I would have cut out of the trip or that we missed. I hope we can travel together again. Give us suggestions for future trips.

Everyone loved your guide. She did such a good job, very attentive and conscientious. We enjoyed all three hotels and all the included meals. Traveling via gondola to Montmorency Falls dining room was a fun experience! Changing of the Guard ceremony was a highlight of the trip. The whale watch was interesting, but we did not really see many whales but it was a gorgeous sunny day, with a nice breeze on the water. Manoir Richelieu was everyone's favorite hotel! Many went next door to make a donation to the Casino. So many of our passengers are people who have enjoyed trips with Hayfield in the past. We were thrilled with the way you handled our arrangements. Thanks for another wonderful tour.

LAKE GEORGE CLASS TRIP
My thanks on making our recent 8th Grade Class Trip a huge success. Your attention to details and great organizational skills are major reasons for this. Having to accommodate 6 buses with 287 people went very smoothly. Since this trip was planned as a last minute replacement for our annual Washington DC trip, you were able to make all necessary plans on very short notice. Not easy to do with a group our size. Your ability to make last minute itinerary changes was very helpful to me. You were always there when needed and even when not needed. It was amazing with a group of our size that we were on time for every stop we made during all 3 days. The hotel accommodations and meals were great and all handled my large group very efficiently. Again, thanks for all your efforts in making this a very successful trip. Please feel free to use me as a reference if ever needed.
John L. Sullivan, Class Trip Advisor, Keene Middle School, Keene, NH

LAKE GEORGE
A report from Bob Craven, Group Leader, said "The entire trip to Lake George was great. This was our group's ninth tour and ranked in the top 3 with Nashville and Mackinac Island. .Our tour guide was the best we have ever had. The tour exceeded our expectations. We knew we would enjoy the races, boat ride, and dinner theatre. We had heard of the beauty of the area but did not realize the charm, beauty and history of Saratoga, the historical sites within Adirondack Park, and the saga of John Brown. Who would expect such outstanding restaurants and tours at Victorian sites. Really impressive. Lake Placid was great too. The entire tour was so educational. Our guide was a walking encyclopedia. She kept us hopping and very interested. Her enthusiasm, sincerity, and consideration for the members of the group made us all feel special."

1000 ISLANDS - OTTAWA
Thank you for being such a good and pleasant guide on our trip to Canada. You helped make our first tour a memorable and wonderful experience. We are having such fun sharing the Canada Tour with friends. Some highlights were Niagara Falls, 1000 Islands Cruise in Alexandria Bay, Museum of Civilization in Ottawa. Should not have started this list because I really enjoyed it all. Actually, I guess I can cover everything by saying, "O Canada! Eh!".

LAKE GEORGE
Our group took a tour to the Lake George area. Your tour guide had all the ingredients that make a successful tour (other than weather, health, and events). We thoroughly enjoyed the professional and personal manner she displayed. It was her "mothering", managing, and mentoring that made this an outstanding pleasurable experience. We wanted you to know that she is an admirable credit to your organization.

Thank you for all the courteous attention you showed our group. The accommodations, meals, sights, and boat trip sure made a most memorable trip. You made all of us feel welcome to your part of New York State. You are so knowledgeable about your area. Sure would recommend Hayfield Tours.
